Description

It is one of the most renowned hotels in the Campania region, awarded since 1997 (year of its official reopening), attesting the high quality of services as well as the degree of customer satisfaction: hospitality, gastronomy, wellness in the suggestion of a unique landscape!

Perched at 350 meters a.s.l., Palazzo Avino is a luxury 5-star hotel, immersed in the magic of the history of Ravello, in a XII century aristocratic property overlooking Via San Giovanni del Toro, seat of the local aristocracy during the Middle Ages. Once belonged to the noble Sasso family, native of Scala, which counts among its descendants the Blessed Gerardo Sasso, founder of the Order of the Knights of Malta, the property was a place of residence of such famous people: Eduardo De Filippo, the Dukes D'Aosta, Roberto Rossellini, Ingrid Bergman and Humphrey Bogart. Bought by the Avino family in 1995, the Palazzo was subjected to a careful works of restoration, respecting the original architectural shapes, and officially reopened in July 1997.

Palazzo Avino is a natural balcony overlooking the Amalfi coast, with stunning view of the entire Gulf of Salerno. The 43 rooms, including 11 suites of rare beauty, are a perfect combination between ancient and luxury furnishings: modern comfort harmoniously placed in large and bright rooms, furnished with antique XVII and XIX century pieces, antique rugs, brass appliques and accessories, Vietri handmade ceramics, fabrics by Hermes and amenities by Bulgari.

The attention both to detail and customer satisfaction are a constant element also for the common areas: from the heated outdoor pool, located in the lush sea view gardens, to the SPA, which offers a wide range of services and beauty treatments; from the fitness area, for who want to care his body even on vacation, to the solarium terrace, set on the highest and most panoramic point of the property, equipped with two Jacuzzi.

In addition to hospitality and wellness, Palazzo Avino also offers the possibility to enjoy a memorable gastronomic experience! The one Michelin star awarded Rossellinis Restaurant is a clear guarantee of quality! Guests will enjoy a delicious mix of tradition and culinary innovation, the best local ingredients and traditional recipes elaborated in a modern key in the spacious and elegant dining room or al fresco on the terrace overlooking the Amalfi coast. The Terrazza Belvedere, with stunning view on the coast below, is the perfect place to enjoy traditional dishes of the Campania region at lunch; at sunset, it becomes the Lobster&Martini Bar, unmissable event for lovers of aperitif and all its combination with the prized crustacean. The Caffè dell'Arte, indeed, is a place of "pleasure" in all its essence: the pleasure of sipping excellent cocktails, admiring the works of the artists on display in the hall.

Just 15 minutes from Ravello, in the charming village of Marmorata, the "Clubhouse by The Sea" is a private villa with private access to the sea, for exclusive use of Palazzo Avino's guests. A small salt-water pool, fresh gazebo on the lush terraced gardens, surrounded by the scent of the Mediterranean vegetation, relaxing sitting area and a restaurant specialized in seafood dishes and pizza cooked in a wood oven, await who wants to feel pampered...by the sea!

Palazzo Avino: charm, relaxation and gastronomy of excellence on the Amalfi coast!
