Incisa in Val d'Arno
Description
Incisa in Val d'Arno is a small village in the province of Florence, Petrarca's adepte town.
Its name derives from the latin word caedere (to cut), referring to a cut down wood.
Of important historic-artistic interest are the Church of santi Vito e Modesto, already mentioned in a XI century document, the Church of sant'Alessandro and the Church of Santi Cosma e Damiano, with a beautiful large portico in order to welcome the pilgrims.
